Know any manufacturers that make decent extended or drum magazines for this M4?

Not yet, I'm looking for them myself. I do however always have extra mags for them for sale. And you can always do the old fashioned double mag taped upside down.

These guns are no longer available fresh out the box. We're selling refurbished ones for $50 each and We've only got 2 left. We've still got extra mags and plenty of spare parts for these if you need them.

Hmm...now that you bring this up, I can't decide whether I should just settle for the G3 or if I should buy a pair of the M4's...

You'll never need a pair of assault rifles for any reason. Having two will just get in your way and make it harder to move and won't give you any advantage. The G3 will out distance and perform the M4 easily and it holds more ammunition than two of them. It's also tougher and will fit in your backpack for the trip to the battle field.
