This will start as a continually improving list of good ways to keep your airsoft gun working for a long time. I'll start with the obvious and continue on to the more technical as I go and add more as it comes to me or as it's suggested. Send a reply to recommend an addition to the list.

- Never leave your gun outside when you're not using it.

- Always use good quality BBs. You can find how to tell good BBs from bad here. This is the best thing you can do for your gun.

- Unload your gun when it's not in use & disconnect the battery. This'll keep the spring in the magazine from getting compressed and the battery from draining.

- Run your battery about as low as you can get it before recharging. Most rechargeable batteries have "memory". If you often only use it half way before recharging, it's going to want to only charge half way and give you about that amount of usage time. Running your battery low before charging will let it charge to it's full potential and get you the full use out of it.

- Don't force anything on your gun. The parts on your gun are meant to work smoothly and easily. If something's not going right in, there's probably something jamming it or it's going in at the wrong angle. Take it back out, clean it out and put it together smoothly. Forcing it will at best make the jam worse.

Don't forget keeping your gears and other parts lubricated. It's not somehting you have to do too often, but it's still important.

And don't forget not to shoot your gun when it's not loaded!
